Happy Saturday Morning Revolutionists!!

I am thrilled that the scale this morning is holding steady at 137.4.  It’s been awfully good to me considering I had a few slipups this week. Thank you body. I’m grateful to you (for once!)!

Last night we went over to my hubby’s game-playing friend’s house where they were having a “reunion” or sorts. All the friends were there, along with their girlfriends and fiancees. It was a really nice gathering. Do you guys watch the TV show “The Big Bang Theory.” Well, first of all, I’m married to Sheldon. (Well, Sheldon, except with a very sweet outgoing personality. But the always-right, type A personality is dead on!) Imagine going to a party with the whole Big Bang Theory cast! That’s what it was like! I stepped into the bathroom at one point and had a two-minute giggle fit over it at one point.

It was going to be a late night, I could tell. (Hubby didn’t get home until 2 a.m.)  I said, “Self, you can either stay here all night long and play board games with them. **OR** you can go home now — 11 p.m. — and get a decent night’s sleep AND get up early in the morning to go to the gym.”  I decided that the gym was far more important to me. So I bid everyone adieu and went home and went to bed. (Hubby caught a ride home with a friend.)

What a great decision! I woke up at 7:30 this morning and got a great workout in, not a rushed workout or anything like that.  400 calories burned, 200 situps, good good.

Today we have a wedding and reception to attend. Then the last symphony performance. Then a late night of bar-hopping. It’s going to be a challenge to eat well and not overdo the drinking, but I’m feeling strong and confident. I’ve got this, today!

Have a great Saturday everyone! Be strong and make good choices!

WHoohooo I am home so I can post to your blog… Thanks for posting over on my blog with those pdfs of your food log, very creative Christine. Your boot camp instructor must have been impressed with them, great balance of logging food, chatting up your day, providing knowledge on things like the band, and well, lots of than full dressed men. Eddie Vedder, didn’t think I’d have cause to think of him today, but there you go, when you least expect it Eddie is there. He is a huge Cubs fan so is good people in my book.

My kids are Athletes and Nerds wrapped into one, I call the Nerdletes. So The Big Bang Theory is a huge hit in out house. They are counting down the days to the start of the next season, not that I have a clue how many days are left but trust me they know.

Good for you on getting the sleep and getting the gym and wow on those sit ups. In my post tomorrow I am talking about sit ups, which saying it like that doesn’t do allot to build up anticipation for that post I suppose, but I am looking forward to writing it.

Enjoy the wedding & your weekend!

Christine, great blog! I’m assuming you’re going to see the Ph. Or. I saw them in SS about 20 years ago (OMG, where does the time go?). Just awesome. I’d go back if I weren’t living on the west coast. Have fun!

Hi Allan! Indeed I meant the Philadelphia Symphony Orchestra. One of the “Star Wars boys” I referred to in my blog post is a viola player with the symphony! (He gets us as many comp tickets as we want!)

Ha ha, yes those food journals are a little…erm…extensive perhaps, but it’s a good record of the food I eat both good and bad. And yes, the hot guys were a request by the bootcamp instructor! LOL! I didn’t know that Eddie was a Cubs fan though!! I’m glad that your family is also a Big Bang Theory fan. It’s an awesome show! When we took a tour of Warner Brothers Studio in California in October, we were really sad that we didn’t get to go on the set of BBT. I look forward to tomorrow’s post about situps!!
