I remember when!

3 years ago, I’d go to Moe’s for lunch and eat a whole Triple Lindy (which is a burrito with rice, pinto beans, steak, shredded cheese, salsa, guacamole).

Calories: 845, not even including the side of potato chips they give you, which is easily another 400-800 calories. No joking, kiddos.

I can’t believe selling food that high in calories is even legal. It’s not even tasty!

Or my co-workers would head over to the Cheesecake Factory. I’d have the Pasta Carbonera, which has 2134 calories. Granted, I wouldn’t eat it all, but I’d eat a good 3/4s of it.

Oh my. Those were the days, huh?

Honestly, sometimes I miss eating like that. Sucks to admit!

There’s days I miss being able to eat whatever I want, but I realize what those days got me and I don’t ever want to go back there again. My portions were OUT OF CONTROL pre surgery, I can’t believe the amount of food I could consume in one sitting. Shame shame shame!

I STILL go to Moe’s every Monday for a $5 burrito! However, I get the “streaker” (naked burrito, a.k.a. without the tortilla, in a bowl and I also skip the rice). They have a nutrition calculator and what I get, black beans, grilled onions, sour cream, guacamole, lettuce, lots of salsa, jalapenos…350 calories total. Not bad.

I am with you sister friend. Glad those days are over– but I just wish I could say the same for sliders– those just take some adult self-discipline and a good plan, right? Good idea on the chocolate chips on my blog, tx
