Bento Box version of Hello Kitty.I am in love. Officially. Yesterday I stumbled across this crazy, awesome, amazing cool blog, the World According to Eggface (Blog Here) and discovered something totally fantastic. I think it’s going to rock my world!!

Bento Boxes!

These are adorable little Japanese-styled lunchboxes. The interesting part is that they are sectioned off in tiny little partitions. I eat very little portion sizes, and a typical lunch for me involves a can of soup. Not very inspiring, nor is it very nutritious. These Bento Boxes are going to allow me to still eat very small amounts of food, but I’ll be able to actually get diverse types of food into my diet. Hooray!

I admit, I’m not much of a cook or a chef. However, some of these Bento Boxes are so freaking cute! The chefs that prepare them are whimsical and artistic. I can’t wait to try these out!

I just bought $60 worth of Bento supplies: a partitioned carrying case, a sandwich cutter/press, vegetable cutters, and (gasp) a hardboiled egg mold. I don’t typically eat hardboiled eggs, but I look forward to giving it a try.  I’m going to hit the bookstore and the grocery store after work today to stock up on Bento Box supplies.

If you’re looking for some really amazing-looking recipes…things that are healthy, great for those who had weight-loss surgery (let’s face it, we have special dietary needs), and that are small-portion-size-friendly, then please check out blog “The World According to Egg Face.” It’s really inspiring!

Check out these bento boxes!
