135.8!!!

I round up when I weigh, to give myself the benefit of the doubt. Therefore,

I’VE LOST NINETY (90) POUNDS.

Total victory! What a great way to start off this labor day weekend!

This is a pretty landmark weight for me, not only because it is (yet again) an all-time low for me and leaves me a mere 10 pounds from my final goal weight, but get this…my BMI is now officially 24.7, which makes me “normal” instead of “overweight!” I am officially in a “healthy weight zone” for the first time in my adult life!

I would really love to reach my goal weight by the end of February, which is my 2-year “band-i-versary.”  10 pounds in five months. That’s 2 pounds per month; half a pound per week. That’s do-able, yes?  The last few months I have noticed my body get into a weight-loss pattern: about four days after my period I drop two pounds. Then I don’t lose anything for an entire month, until my period comes again. Then I do a big drop again. If I continue with this pattern, I think I can make my goal by February! Of course there are the holidays thrown in there, and losing weight during the holidays is difficult — but not impossible! Yes, I think I can do this!

I heard this great new song on Sirius this morning. It’s by Foster the People called “Pumped up Kicks” and adequately reflects my mood today: happy, but laid back and ready to chill out!

I decided to try my curly hair again today. I still think I look like a poodle! LOL!

Here’s a few new bloggers that I’ve been pleased to meet in the last week or two:

  • Angela, a new bandster
  • Another Angela, oddly enough, a somewhat new bandster, but new to me!
  • This lovely lady has apparently been around for a long time (she’s got a bajillion followers) but she’s awesome and a great writer. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed her blog so far!
  • Shannon, a new follower of mine! Hello Shannon!
  • Lena, a brand-new bandster! She’s 2 weeks out from surgery.

Awesome! And yes, I think you can reach your goal by your bandiversary, even with the holidays thrown in there. Actually that goal will give you an even greater motivation to watch it closely during the holidays! I, personally, like the curls!

Whoohooo, you are “normal”!… huge news, 90 pounds! This deserves a huge celebration. I’m thinking something with your hair, hey – why not some curls? Yeah, me giving hair advice, lets just stop with that silliness. Plus you’ve already done the hair celebration; LOL, you don’t look like a poodle…

Definitely losing 1/2 pound a week is doable and a safe & steady pace too. You can do it, and I’ve got no doubt that you will!
